DAD'S ARMY
We are
pleased to announce that the committee are considering staging a play in the
late Autumn. Our
current plan is that we would like to put on "Dads Army". The play covers
two episodes, the first
one is called "Mums Army" where Captain Mainwaring decides to form a womens
section of the platoon,
and the second is "Deadly Attachment" where the platoon are put in charge of
a captured German U-
Boat crew over night.
This was officially announced at the "Pirates of Penzance" after-show get
together where we received
a lot of interest. I am hoping to hold the opening meeting at the beginning
of June (date tbc).
At the moment the Charles Cryer is available from the 23rd to 29th of
September when we would
intend performing four performances, being Thursday evening, Friday evening,
Saturday matinee and
Saturday evening.
